Common questions
- Can you tell me whether I'm eligible?
- Not from a website. Whether a route is open to you depends on your full circumstances and your documents. The route finder can narrow things down, and a conversation with Bright & Day's team is the way to get an answer about your own situation.
- Can you help if we live outside the UK?
- Yes. Many family visa applications are made from abroad, for example from Turkey or the UAE. You apply online and give fingerprints and a photo at a visa application centre, which may be in another country.
- How long does a decision take?
- The Home Office sets its own service times and they change. GOV.UK publishes the usual times for each route. A solicitor cannot shorten them, though a complete application avoids avoidable delays.
- Can anyone guarantee my visa?
- No. Every decision is made by the Home Office. Be wary of anyone who promises a result.
- What should I put in my first message?
- Just the basics: who you want to join, where you live now and what you need help with. Please don't send passport numbers, dates of birth or documents through the website form.
- Do you speak Turkish?
- Bright & Day says its team can advise in Turkish, as well as Urdu, Mirpuri, Hindi, Kurmanji, Sorani, Punjabi and English. Mention your preferred language in your enquiry.
